Graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, the bachelor’s programme (in 1997), master’s programme (in 1999) and doctoral programme (2009). Her main interests in the field of music research relate to the vocal-instrumental music both from the historical and theoretical perspective. The promotional thesis, currently being elaborated, is dedicated to the theory of polyphony and Latvian vocal-instrumental works; the scientific guidance within the course of the research is ensured by prof. Dr. Art. Ilma Grauzdiņa.
