ANTRA KRAUCE was born in Sigulda, Latvia, in 1965. After high school she studied in Riga Technical University (it was previously known as Riga Polytechnical Institute and Riga Polytechnicum) and in 1988 she obtained first Engineer-Biochemistry Technologist Degree and then Master’s Degree in biochemistry. In 1996 she graduated Latvian University and got the qualification of a primary school teacher and a teacher’s speacial education certificate. She obtained her Master’s degree in Pedagogy in Latvian University in 2001, but in 2013 she obtained qualification of a speech therapist. In 2011 she obtained a fairytale therapist certificate from St. Peterburg’s Institute of the Fairytale Therapy. In 2019 she graduated Rezekne Academy of Technologies and obtained a professional Master’s degree in special pedagogy. Since 1996 she has been working in a Riga elementary boarding school  No 1, in a development center as an education methodologist, a special education teacher and a speech therapist. She has been consulting teachers, parents and students. She actively participates in different projects, develops methodological teaching aids for students with special needs.
