Liga Mirlina is lecturer of the Communication Faculty of Turiba University since 2006. Liga has been studied public administration and communication sciences. She has been worked in communication field since 1994, gained experience in both the public administration and the NGO sector as well as public relations agencies. Liga has master's degree in communication science and now she is doctoral degree candidate. Topic of doctoral thesis is „The role of Government communication in ensuring the effectiveness of the Latvian public administration”. Liga has researched various aspects of the Latvian government communication: trends of Latvian government communication, interaction between public administration, mass media and non-governmental organizations, changes of government communication methods. Since 2006 results of the researchs have been presented at various international scientific conferences and has published in scientific journals and conferences proceedings.
