Aija Klavina

Aija Klavina is a professor and chief researcher at the Latvian Academy of Sport Education in Riga (Latvia).  Her research interests are collaborative teaching instructions, peer tutoring and adapted physical activity for children with disabilities. Aija Klavina has supervised more than 30 national and international project grants on topics related to adapted physical activity and inclusive education. She is a president-elect of the European Federation of Adapted Physical Activities since 2014. More recently, Dr.Klavina has moved into studying the health and social indicators of participation in physical activities for children with disabilities. She has published in both special education and adapted physical education journals.
