Abstract

Informal Education is a general term for education that can occur outside of a structured curriculum. Nowadays it is mainly used to provide people of different ages and social categories with additional knowledge and skills needed for their professional activity or fulfilling interest. China today also uses such kind of providing educational services mainly for children and youths. These activities are seen by the state educational system as the basic level of gifted children`s detection and separating them from the other ones. Modern Chinese educational theory has its own ideas as to the problem of gifted children starting from the definition of giftedness and up to the place of such children in the society including the welfare and legal issues. Seeing giftedness as “ability to work and methodical training” the Chinese educational and welfare system is totally built up by this conception. The article using various research methods (such as theoretical literature and current Chinese legislation`s analysis, comparative methods, method of personal experience etc.) represents the Chinese experience as to educational work with gifted children especially in the field of informal education as well as general ideas of the Giftedness theory in the Chinese educational practice.

    Lyubov Kalashnyk was born in 1979 (Ukraine), obtained “specialist“ and PHD degree from Kharkiv national pedagogical University named after G.S.Skovoroda. In 2016 obtained Doctor of Science degree in the field of History and theory of Education. Field of practical work and scientific interest: Chinese educational system, Chinese family and social education, patriotic and citizenship education in China, Educational system of Israel, formal and non-formal education in China and Israel. Lecturer, researcher. Author of 3 manuals and more than 45 other scientific works; works at Kharkiv national pedagogical University named after G.S.Skovoroda (Ukraine) and Zhejiang Shuren University (Hangzhou, China)
  • Yulia Burtseva, Donetsk Regional Institute of Post-Graduate Pedagogical Education
    Julia Burtseva was born in Kramatorsk, Ukraine and went to theSlavic State Pedagogical Institute, where she studied pedagogy and methodology of secondary education and obtained her PHD degree in 2002. She worked for a couple of years for the Kramatorsk Economics and Humanities Institute before moving in 2007 to the Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education where she is now a Vice-Rector for Scientific, Innovative and International Activities.     Naumenko Stanislav was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine and went to  H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (Kharkiv, Ukraine), where studied foreign philology and obtained Specialist degree in 2012. The post-graduate student of the second year of study at the Department of Theory and Methods of Professional Education of Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H.S.     Wu Yanlin was born in China. In 2014 obtained BA degree from Hanshan Normal University (Hanshan, China); specialization: education and Chinese language for foreigners. In 2017 graduated from  Cultural University of Kharkiv (Ukraine) with the MA degree on culturology. Start September 2017 is on PHD educational programe at the Department of Theory and Methods of Professional Education of Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H.S.
