IEVA GINTERE (b. 1976) has been an Assistant Professor at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Latvia, since 2015. She leads a course in modern aesthetics and the philosophy of art, as well as doing Post-doctorate research “Leveraging ICT Product Innovations by Enhancing Codes of Modern Art”. She graduated from the Music Academy of Latvia in 2014 (Dr.art.) majoring in contemporary musicology, and studied at the Paris-X Nanterre University on a scholarship from the French government (Bourse du Gouvernement Français, 2007-2008). At the Latvian Academy of Culture in 2002 Ieva earned a Master of Arts, and at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Latvian University she received a Master of Philosophy degree in 2004. She has lectured in aesthetics and philosophy in Georgia, Romania and Latvia. Her interests are contemporary aesthetics, and ways of cross-cutting and interacting the fields of modern technologies and theories of modern art.
