Marzena Ruszkowska - PhD in the humanities in the field of Pedagogy (PhD at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn in 2013), senior lecturer at Pope John Paul II Higher State School in Biała Podlaska, a member of the Social Pedagogues Team of the Pedagogical Sciences Committee of  Polish Academy of Sciences (KNP PAN); the author of the report: The brightness and shadows of foster families prepared for the Fifth Congress of Social Pedagogues (2013), the author of two monographs: Foster family as an upbringing and educational environment (2013) and Diagnosis of foster families in the face of contemporary dilemmas (2013) issued under the project Coordination for active integration implemented by Institute for the Development of Social Services (IRSS) and Centre for the Development of Human Resources (CRZL), as well as the work edited by Social Work with children, youth and family (2014) as part of the cooperation between Centre for the Development of Human Resources  and WYG International Ltd. and numerous scientific articles. Over 20 articles in Polish journals, i.e.: Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Care and Education Problems, Social Policy, Pedagogical Quarterly, Family Education, Social Dissertations and others in addition, a dozen post-conference publications.
