Anita Naciscione is Professor of Cognitive Linguistics at the Department of Intercultural Communication and Foreign Languages at the Latvian Academy of Culture, Riga. Academic and research interests: Applied Linguistics, Cognitive Linguistics, Creativity and innovations in language, English Language Teaching, Translation of Terminology. She has read many guest lectures and plenary lectures at conferences on various issues in these areas. Author of two books and many articles (see webpage). Award: her book Stylistic Use of Phraseological Units in Discourse (2010, John Benjamins Publishing Company) was awarded an Honourable Mention at the ESSE Book Award 2012.
