Makhmudova Malik Tahirovna – Associate Professor of Department for Design of the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K.Behzoda (since 1977). Graduated from the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute as architect (1971), Postgraduate course of the Scientific - Research Institute of Art History, specialized on restoration of architectural monuments of Uzbekistan (1980), Extension courses in "Interior and Equipment" of Moscow Higher Artistic School named after Stroganov (1990). Since 1972 to 1977 employed by the Institute for Restoration (former Special Scientific restoration workshop) as architect-restorer, since 1977 till present as teachers of the course on the "History of the interior", "Theory and Methods of Design", "The interiors of residential and public buildings", "Design of Interiors", "Artistic equipment", "Basis of composition "and others of the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K.Behzod (formerly named TGHI named of Ostrovsky, Institute of M. Uygur), since 1997 to 1998 and 2008 to 2012 - Head of Department for Design of the the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K.Behzoda. Supervisor of more than 50 diploma bachelor’s works and master's theses. Author of more than 50 scientific and popular science articles on the history and theory of architecture and interior design, as well as a number of programs, textbooks and manuals on special subjects. Participant of national and international conferences.

Mukhayyo Makhmudova – Art Historian and Culture Specialist. Graduated from the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K.Behzod with the specialization in art history focusing on architecture (Bachelor decree, 2001; Master decree 2003). Since 2001 to 2003 worked as teacher of the course on the “Architecture Basics” in the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K.Behzod. Since 2003 till present works as Culture Programme Specialist of the UNESCO Tashkent Office. She coordinates and implements various programmes/projects/activities and initiatives in the field of Sustainable Tourism Development, Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expression and Creative Industries, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Museums and Movable Heritage, Culture for Sustainable Development, etc. She also supports governmental initiatives and activities in the field of Creative Industries, Sustainable Tourism Development along the Silk Roads, Safeguarding of ICH in Uzbekistan, Strengthening the national capacity of museum specialist, etc. She is authors of about 15 scientific and popular science articles and papers in the field of history of architecture and safeguarding ICH of Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
