PhD candidate Elina Mikelsone has more than 10 years of professional experience in innovation, idea and project management on international and national level. Two projects assisted by Mrs Mikelsone have received European Enterprise Promotion Awards recognition. To promote innovation and creativity in organisations she has established an NGO - Idea and Innovation Institute. She is active lecturer and guest lecturer in academic (e.g. RTU, RISEBA, BA, LKK, BVK) and non-formal education organisations, events. Mikelsone has established a novel non-formal education program for teaching creativity and innovation - Idea Fitness, applying innovative and involving learning approaches. More than 400 people from Latvia and abroad has participated in this program. Last two years she has mentored 79 new enterprises in project Create for regions. During the last 4 years she has participated in more than 15 scientific conferences and has published more than 10 papers about idea management.
