Administrative and Criminal Justice
Latvia Police Academy founded and started publishing of the journal ’’Administrative and Criminal Justice’’ in 1997 in order to provide an opportunity to academic staff and students (Master students and doctoral students) to publish the results of scientific research works.
 Since 2010 Baltic International Academy (No 50–80) has been the publisher, since 2017 Baltic International Academy and Rezekne Academy of Technologies have jointly published the journal.
The journal is published four times a year in free access electronic format and it is available for subscription in printing- house format.
The journal has an international scientific editorial board where PH.Ds from Latvia, the USA, Estonia, Russia, Lithuania the Netherlands and Bulgaria work.
The authors from both Latvia and several other countries, including Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Spain, Poland, the Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Hungary, Uzbekistan and others. The papers for publication can be submitted in Latvian, English, German and Russian.
 In 2007 the Science board of Latvia included three sections of the journal – criminal law, police rights, theory of criminalistics and the theory of investigation activities into generally recognised scientific editions.
The content of the journal is being made according to the sub-branches of judicial science, providing the priority to the sub-branches, research works, into which have been included into the Science board of Latvialist of the generally recognised scientific editions.  They are followed by the papers in the sections, which correspond to the sub-branches of judicial sciences – sub-branch of law theory and history; sub-branch of civil law, sub-branch of state law, sub-branch of international rights.
The publications, which are included into the Science board of Latvia list of the generally recognised scientific editions make more than 70% of its amount. ’’Administrative and Criminal Justice’’ is the only journal in Latvia, which regularly publishes the research works in judicial science, in the sub-branches criminalistics and the theory of investigation and the sub-branch of police rights.
Al the papers are anonymously reviewed.
The Journal accepts papers in the following languages – Latvian, English, German or Russian.

We invite you to submit your papers for publication in a new scientific e-journal EDUCATION. INNOVATION. DIVERSITY (EID)
EID is an international, periodical scientific journal publishing original research, which is of general significance to the education research community and which comes from a wide range of areas of education research and related disciplines. EID is an Open Access Journal and will be published three times a year.
EID aims to make major programmatic research and new findings of broad importance widely accessible.
The journal accepts high quality papers that are solving educational research problems and depends on a double-blind peer-review process in selecting papers for publication. Peer reviewers are chosen based on their expertise and experience in the fields covered by the journal’s theme.
Journal organizers: Rezekne Academy of Technologies (Latvia), Liepaja University (Latvia), Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic), Rīga Stradiņš University (Latvia), University of Niš (Serbia) and Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania).
Peer review. This journal operates a blind review process. All contributions are typically sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the papers.
Types of paper:
- report of an empirical study;
- literature review or meta-analysis;
- theory-oriented paper;
- case study.
Themes:
- Teaching and Learning (curriculum development and innovation at all levels, approaches to accommodating national and state standards within the context of effective instruction and assessment, teacher development and mentoring, diversity in the classroom and augmented/virtual reality in education, etc.)
- Language and Literacy Education (theoretical perspectives on language or literacy that address teaching and learning; research-validated approaches to instruction and assessment or curriculum development and refinement for general education learners, second language learners, or those with particular needs; learner identity; social justice in literacy and language teaching and learning; accommodating national and state standards within the context of effective instruction and assessment; digitally-mediated learning, etc.)
- Diversity in Education (education and multicultural society today, intercultural communication, human rights and anti-racist education, pluralism and diversity in a democratic framework, pluralism in post-communist and in post-colonial countries, migration and indigenous minority issues, refugee issues, language policy issues, etc.)
- Health and Sport Education (interventions related to primary prevention of chronic disease from a social ecological perspective that conceptualized the effect of individual, interpersonal, institutional, community and policy factors on lifestyle behaviours, advancement of sport/exercise/health sciences, health promotion, health education, social rehabilitation, physical exercise and health, adapted physical activity).
- Engineering Education (engineering education at all levels, innovation in engineering education strategies, course and curriculum design, teaching, and assessment within and outside of the classroom, etc.)
- Personality Development in the Educational Environment (professional school counselling, bullying and bullying prevention, social emotional learning, college or career readiness, multicultural counselling and development, performance psychology, etc.)

The journal “Education Reform: Education Content Research and Implementation Problems†(ERCS) is an open access journal that is published twice a year both in print form and electronically. The online version is free to access and download at the website:http://journals.rta.lv/index.php/index
The aim of the journal is to promote the development, excellence and dissemination of scientific researches, ensuring free access to research information online without financial, legal or technical barriers.
The journal publishes papers related to general education, its implementation, and achievement of excellence.
Topics:
- implementation of innovation programmes;
- teacher education for work in general education;
- education of special groups;
- solution of social problems in school;
- applied linguistics or language education;
- educational and information technology;
- promotion of health and students’ well-being;
- sports in general education;
- educational theory;
- research and methodologies.
How are papers assessed?
Papers (including those in special issues) are subject to a peer review process, using an international panel of researchers who are expert in relevant fields. Referees are asked to judge the quality of research and also the relevance and accessibility of a paper for an international audience.
This journal operates a double blind review process. All contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. The Editor's decision is final.
The authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.
The reviewing process lasts 2-3 weeks.

Journal of Regional Economic and Social Development
 The Journal of Regional Economic and Social Development Vol 15 will be published in December 2023
The Journal of Regional Economic and Social Development (historical title: Latgale National Economy Research) publishes original research papers in the field of social sciences emphasising the regional specifics and problems. The issues studied in these papers are not subject to any limitations.

Scientific board
The scientific board of the journal consists of academicians and leading researchers from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Cyprus.
For authors
The journal publishes original research papers in the field of social sciences emphasising the regional specifics and problems. The issues studied in these papers are not subject to any limitations. Manuscripts are accepted in English. All manuscripts are reviewed (blind) using a peer-review process involving at least two reviewers. The review process typically takes two weeks.
The papers are peer-reviewed based on the following adopted scientific criteria:
- correspondence of the research to the modern theoretical level in the field of the selected problem;
- originality and novelty of empirical material, conclusions and suggestions;
- logic and comprehensibility of the research.
The journal seeks to comply with the high degree of scientific standards. The papers submitted for publishing have to be original, relevant to the journal’s area of interest and scientifically accurate.
The paper author/authors are expected to present original data or analyses as well as summaries of key facts their research is based on and consequently conclusions drawn from. In addition, they are required to consider consistency and solid nature of the reasoning. The papers submitted to the editorial board are peer-reviewed.
Every paper is peer-reviewed by two reviewers. The editorial board considers the anonymity of the author/authors and the peer-reviewers. The paper author/authors have the rights to become familiar with the peer-reviews and the comments made by the peer-reviewers and, if needed, to fine-tune their research, make corrections and amendments submitting them no later than the deadline agreed with the editor. The editorial board has the right to introduce the necessary style corrections, as well as to format the paper according to the guidelines. The corrections introduced by the editorial board are to be agreed with the author/authors of the paper.
