Ethical Guidelines for Scientific Publications of Rezekne Academy of Technologies (RTA)
1. General Issues
- The Ethical Guidelines for RTA Scientific Publications (hereinafter - the Guidelines) are based on the basic ethical principles and requirements set out in the Code of Ethics for Scientists (2.9-2.14) of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, the guidelines of the International Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the RTA Code of Ethics and the RTA Regulations on Academic Integrity.
- The Guidelines define the responsibilities of editors-in-chief, reviewers and authors of scientific journals, conference proceedings and monographs, the RTA Science and Project Management Division (SPMD) and the Information and Communication Technologies Research Centre (publisher), as well as measures to be taken in cases of unethical conduct.
- The aim of the Guidelines is to ensure that all parties involved in the scientific publication process act in accordance with the Guidelines and declare conflicts of interest.
- Compliance with the Guidelines is monitored by the RTA Ethics Commission.
